NoteIt was so fast and bright that I initially couldn't tell how distant it was - my first thought was that it was an illuminating flare or something (though there would have been no reason for anyone to shoot off one of those around the perimeter highway of Atlanta) until I saw it dim and break up. I can't 100% rule out that I might've been incorrect in thinking it was a fireball but I can't think of what else it could've been!

Lampo finale
OsservazioneYes
NoteI might have first seen it as it began a terminal flash - it first appeared directly overhead and seemed brighter than Venus (lots of light pollution on 285) then rapidly dimmed as it zipped down the sky, leaving at least 3-5 fragments and a slight glow behind it.
